Why do sketches turn black?

Why do sketches turn black sometimes while your working in a assembly? Even when I change over to design mode the sketch stays black. I've tried shutting down and restarting, but no success. When I open the part in a new window it goes back to normal color configs. Only one part in the assembly does this...

Hi,

Sketches are black when you set some color to the instance level.

Do a reset properties at the top level of the body where the sketch is. Note that if you created the sketch in an openbody/geometric set and then made a solid from it, that sketch exists twice in the tree.
