General guidelines for using this forum.

Use of this Forum

1) This forum is for the discussion of engineering business development ideas and problems. Acceptable topics include questions regarding marketing and advertising, business start-up questions, questions regarding future trends in the engineering business (These could also be in the trends forum) and questions of a similar nature.
2) This forum is NOT for direct marketing by posting rTsumTÆs or requests for partnerships, joint ventures, venture capital or any other sort of post which is designed to solicit or place work. There are lots of us out here that are quick with the red flag button. Red flags usually result in your post being deleted.
3) Please post using proper business correspondence etiquette. This means writing in complete sentences, avoiding jargon and instant messaging spellings. A good idea is to write using a word processor with spell checks and then cut and paste to the forum. Use of the preview post is strongly encouraged.
4) Not everyone who posts here has English as a first language, please be tolerant of those who are positing in their second language.
5) Give as much information as possible when posting questions. This lets those of us who respond be as helpful as possible. One sentence questions usually only get requests for more information.
6) If someone is helpful, marking it with the button on the bottom of the post is the way to tell them that, there is no need for posts that say simply ôI agreeö
7) The free advice that you receive here is worth exactly what you paid for it. This is a forum for engineering professionals to share ideas, opinions and information on topics of mutual interest. You are responsible for any use you make of this information.
8) Naturally profanity, vulgar, insulting or flaming behavior will be red flagged. We are professionals here, lets keep it professional.
9) Remember the golden rule of Internet discussion groups. Do not be easily annoying, do not be easily annoyed.
