thanks sir for ur reply.1% is acceptable from section thickness.
and heat treatment done in gas fire contineouse furnace atmosphere is a big issue for reduce decarbourization.
and second thing is we have tk soaking time in eace trey 25 min and wt is part 700gm
is soaking more.
is pc burn in...
hi sir,
please suggest to me for reduce decarburization.
actually new development item i have hard n tempered.
but in final micro observed fully decarb.
its socket Wt. 800gm Spec hardness 201-255 BHN
hi,
dear all one i want discuss about normalising process.i know its so simple process but i want to discuss with ...
actually if we use 0.40%C and 0.72%Mn and grade C40,EN8 or EN8D raw material for any part and forge then normalise its raw material hardness max 179 BHN.
can u suggest how to...
sir would u tell me how to check c % by chemical analysis.
actually i have checked incoming raw material but result not come accurate and std result also not correct.
thanks

that means if we done with 400-450°C than not much more effect in structure and structure not fully tempered martensite.only stress relief in this temperature for better structure should i go above 500°C tempered.and material is 35C8 grade
hi frds and sirs...
sorry to come very late..
how r all of u..
anyway sir i want one simple question if i will tempered part in temperature 450°C and 400°C than what effect on structure and other properties.
and can i tempered my part at this temperature
what should be range of tempering...
hi sir,
plz tell me how to fix tempering temperature for diff part and different grade becoz tempering temperature depend on as quench hardness and as quench hardness depend upon carbon percent and other alloying element.
so plz tell me how to fixed temperature of tempering.
hi.all of u..
i have get one customer comlain regarding crack observed during assembly of socket.he told to us its raw material crack .
can u told me that how to identified crack by eyes that it is raw material crack ,heat treatment or forging.
