Thanks for the reply. The problem is I want a cylindrical rod to contact normal to a 3D curved surface. There is a condition that the rod tip must be contacting only at the surface NORMALS. How can I align this rod,exactly normal to particular node on the 3D surface.

I am trying to model a rod which contact and slides along the normals of the curved 3D surface. Initially I want to know how can we allign the rod normal to the 3D surface normal of the curved portion. Then in another step, I like to slide it along that direction maintaining the same angle...

When I give VR3 and V1 to ref point in two diff steps, its says we cant define two conditions in one node.
