If I go into progressive die wizard and attempt to get a bom from an assembly I get the following:
If I attempt to edit a tabular note using excel in drafting I get the following:
I have no idea as to why.
I have both SPLM.ExcelAddin and ug.XLA
I am at a loss. I have searched the internet...
I am aware of this, but learning this has other benefits for me as well, therefore, why not use this as an opportunity to learn how to do this? In the future, I may implement the batch file to not only convert the file, but to also convert from millimeters to inches in one go.
I currently have a batch file which is used for right click conversions of stp=>prt. It works only when the file is on my desktop, however the majority of the files are on a server location. Working on my desktop is not a viable option as many people share the same files.
The code is as...
I have solved my problem, The problem was the fact that I had set
STEP203UG_DIR = %UGII_BASE_DIR%\step203ug
STEP214UG_DIR = %UGII_BASE_DIR%\step214ug
after deleting this from either my system or user variables, my issue has been resolved.
The problem seems to occur no matter what system exported the stepfile, even when the stepfile was exported by nx itself.
The only other export systems that I am aware of (there are hundreds if not thousands of files, can't check them all) are
- pro-e
- creo (i know creo has replaced pro-e, but...
The version I am using is either 1872 or 1892
Yes, this is correct, I can convert using the standalone converters, but cannot convert using NX Directly.
I apologize if my wording is not very good.
I have step files that I cannot open through NX, but can convert through the step214 translator.
I get Error Number - 1 when I try to Convert through Nx.
The following is an error that I believe is causing NX to not be able to convert the file:
I have no idea what is wrong, and this is...
I have the skills needed to program, but before I waste a bunch of time doing so, I have to ask if I can use NXOpen without a developer's license? the version of NX i am currently using is 1872.
Yes I am aware about not requiring an active NX Session.
I have actually already figured it out, using the attached batch file.
Then in the registry, set the (Default) of
Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.stp\shell\Context Button\command
to the file's location as such...
I am looking to be able to right click on a step file and convert it to an nx .prt file, as well as right click on a .prt file and export it to a stp file. I do not know how to set this up.
I have set up right click for unit conversions on .prt files.
The version of NX being used is NX1872.
