    Spring mounting hardware

The pin can shift along its axis and we try to avoid that. The tolerance of the shaft is not typically designed for press fit. Not sure if it works. Thanks 3DDave.

    Spring mounting hardware

I sketch up something which shows the "pin" that I am looking for. The body can be threaded or close tolerance (or grooved to allow press fit). The material is stainless steel (steel also works but is not as...

    Spring mounting hardware

The spring is 0.5" diameter. The force is 30 lb max. I don't have picture but just in concept now. The recommendation for the website (company) with this type of product is sufficient for me and I can browse around there. Thanks.

    Spring mounting hardware

I am looking for COTS hardware that can be used to mount 2 extension spring side by side through a steel plate between the 2 springs. The springs are parallel to each other. I hardware should be fixed at the steel plate. I have hard time to find any from internet search. The extension spring...

    Air compressor blown head gasket

Most of our clients used it in their plant with their specific set up. We have a baseline product and we twik it here and there to suit the clients need. There were 6 returned in last 3 months.

    Air compressor blown head gasket

We recently received many returned compressors with blown head gasket problem. Open up the head block revealed some of the valve plates are distorted. Any idea what are the possible cause of blown head gasket and distorted valve plate. Info of the air compressor: Reciprocating type with...

    IDC connector

We are trying to put the IDC inside the cockpit avionic box. It is a LRU. It is low voltage application. It is to connect a trackball assembly to the front panel inside the box.

    Light blocking material

What is the best light blocking plastic material which can block as much light as possible. The material can be as thin as 0.020" (or machined to this size). We used black plexiglass before but when it go down to this thickness, light start leak through.

    PCB packaging arrangement, Connector search

Thanks Brian for your response. That's interesting to know that DIN connectors have been used in aerospace application.

    PCB packaging arrangement, Connector search

I used DIN connector for rail industry a lot. Not sure if it is qualified for aerospace application. I am not aware DIN connector comes with guide pin for blind mating application. We used DIN connector for EUROCARD type of subrack design.

    PCB packaging arrangement, Connector search

Hope someone can help with this. I have an application to connect 4 circuit boards together through some board-to-board connectors. The boards arrangement is shown in the attached file. The cards are located inside the avionic box with front panel attached to PCB 1 and the real chassis attached...

    Selecting finite element software

I am looking for a finite element software for dynamic, static as well as fatigue analysis (linear, non-linear, random, sin, combine random and sin, shock). Our products are typically electronic boxes (MCU) for aircraft application. Ideally, it should be easy to use for analyzing vibration...
