    ok i found a code in AWS 3.0.....4.2.2.1 (13) on page 23.....that addresses this also...i know im working under B.PV code however thought it maybe in it also... thnx for your help metengr!!!

    Can someone tell me if this is in code....im talking of an unbalanced welding technique of bead deposits favoring one side of a weld joint....i had a UNION welder and inspector tells me its not a code violation to do it....its a .270 wall thickness... vertical weld on a fixed panel in a boiler...
