    I have been trying to find information on miter joints. CFR 192.233 only allows up to 3 degree miter joints but can't locate any info as to why they are not allowed. Can someone explain why not?

    X65 welded to X52/X42 duel grade pipe

    The designated material is X-42. So are there any issues with going from X-42 to X-65? It seems like too big of a jump.
