    Thanks, I figured it was the same as the commentaries for the NBC but since Ontario has it's own code I was a little thrown off that they wouldn't at least mention referencing the NBC or have it's own commentaries.

    Looking at the Ontario building code I don't see anything regarding snow build up or drifts, do they just default to following the NBC? Also I won't mention how long it took me to find "MMAH Supplementary Standard SB-1, "Climatic and Seismic Data".

    Turning a Dynamic Load into a Static Load

    I am currently designing something similar to a roll cage but it is for mining vehicles and to protect the driver from falling rocks. I know that the cage is to be designed for 8500 ft lbs energy (11.5 kJ), is there any way to convert this dynamic load into a static load?
