    Rebar Detailing

We will find out when we bend and install. Have you ever heard of this though? Is there a structural standard that allows for this reduction? I am not familiar with CRSI standards.

    Rebar Detailing

I am on a job in NYC so all rebar bending is done on site. I have a rebar detailer who detailed a bar with two bends. The drawing shows a 31'-08" bar. The delivery ticket shows a 31'-08" bar but the actual length is 31'-5.75". The bar tag says 31'-5.75" as well. He is telling me that the...

    secant pile sinkholes

The volume going into the column exceeds the theoretical volume. We are using about 30% more concrete than expected. I am confused about "bridging". Could it be a problem with the mix design? THank you for your help.

    secant pile sinkholes

We are drilling a secant pile wall for a cofferdam excavation. We had a sinkhole along the side of the guide wall. We are pulling the casing as we tremie the concrete. THe material varies from sands to clay. What can cause that- a drilling technique or a poorly constructed guide wall?
