I actually found out sure board does have 18ga sheet metal attached to gyp board. It seems like the advantage with sure board is that it meets the impact resistance that I need (HM), and the large shear loads. Is there another provider that has a sure board type system? It looks like that system...
I am looking for a sheet metal shear wall system similar to the Sure Board wall system that has 18 gauge sheet metal. Sure Board only offers their system with 22 gauge sheet metal. Does anyone know if 18 gauge sheet metal glued to gypsum sheathing is available?
