I checked the ASME companion guide, read various papers, books regarding pressure vessels. I haven't found the answer yet.

Equation in UG-27c gives a different minimum thickness than the equation in Appendix 1, 1-1(a)than for the same pressure vessel. Which one should I use? Am I missing something?
