bimr is right on this point. BOD, COD is an important parameter in wastewater treatment, but as the OP is unwilling to share the purpose of the treatment plant, the required effluent parameters as well as the selected treatment types, there is not much to help in that aspect. Damping the...
Bee, its common to have limited data. In fact, there can be situations where no data are available, forcing engineers to resort to predictions, common sense, simulations etc. What one does is to give all the info, as much as possible and either make do with it or gather more. That is how it is...
Im pretty sure when people talk about chemical engineering, they are talking about a large scale production plant with reactors, pumps, compressors, columns, towers etc. Not really about more effective ways to remove wax from 3D printer models. (FYI, I like your 3D printer!!! Its so cool!!!)...
Normally during construction, isometric diagrams will also be used, not just P&ID's. As Latexman explains, P&ID may not show elevation and orientation (unless it is specified in it). It is also not the job of a P&ID to show that. P&ID is mainly to show piping of the process flow together with...
I think that thread is in error. If there is no free chlorine residue, that means the biocide dosage is not enough and the treatment was ineffective. Therefore the OP there had no problem with foam before (insufficent microbes were killed to create any noticeable foam) . Due to the prolonged...
The dead organisms can contribute to the foam. When they die, their cell material appears as foam.
Could also be pH, how high do you control your pH? What chemicals do you use in the cooling water? Any consultation with the vendors for your CW chemicals? Im sure they will be eager to recommend...
one simple way to solve would be to nerf the steam PCV tuning parameters. The reason is that deaerator levels would have trips associated with them while deaerator pressure is not as critical. The other way is to just place the controllers on manual until the fluctuations die out.
