Yes, I just bookmarked a few pages which explained antenna and "horn" terminology for microwave control. Could you post some links for antenna design / horn design which explain their effects and variations?
Thanks!!

Hello!
I am a mechanical engineer and was surfing the web for some te10 information. I am strictly not familiar with electrical concepts beyond ohms law, but I am really curious to get this question answered.
Can the direction and range (depth?) of the microwaves emanating from a TE10...
Hello!
I am a mechanical engineer looking for some interesting resources on RF heating (theory, examples, limitations, maths) from a mechanical designer point of view (electrical information would be welcome too). Any links would be useful and perhaps some beginner books in the field would be...
Berkshire, I made the box deeper, the thermocouples don't display any difference at 47*C but dipping my fingers in both the tanks does give a sense of cooling. I will get new sensors next week.
Also, if I pump air through the tubing(instead of water), and use the same setup, would I need...
Hi!
I wanted to know if colder hydrogen feed at the inlet would adversely affect the PEMFC running at high temperature. Or if it doesn't what effect would it have?
T.M.
Ran the machine today, it barely cools down the water, might as well leave it standing for a few minutes. [bigsmile] anyways, I will change the flow rate and , as berkshire suggested, will make box deeper.
On a different note, I wonder if I pump a hot engine coolant (Fuchs etc.) through the...
zdas04 .. Thanks for clearing that up.. I was really stuck with the wrong idea in my head. Hope, the situation looks bright when I finish my MS.. I really want to work on something worthwhile to the industry. [glasses]
Thanks once again,
T.M.
I agree with downplaying the MS. But considering the next decade ,how smart is it to get a degree from Texas or Minn. and then scouting Dakota and Illinois for some work. Whats the rationale towards out-of-state degrees?

Hi!!
I was wondering , what is the scope of the career after doing MS in Mechanical (research in Fluids/Energy/thermal) in the energy industry? I mean, what type of job titles are common for the above w/o previus industry experience.
Regards,
T.M.
thanks zdas04, well explained. cranky108 I am trying to cool hot water, but for demonstration purpose I might look at other fluids.
Will keep posted,
T.M.
Hi!!
I got my hands on a demonstration kit of an evaporative cooler. It's just a sealed box with air intake holes on the sides, a fan on top, a downward water spray just beneath it, and a helical coil carrying hot water to be cooled. I am wondering how to show the kids that it can be improved...
Hello!
I will be finishing my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering next year and am planning to use my skills in the energy field. Although my research activities have been in fuels and solar energy production, my inclination is more towards nuclear engineering , which i think is more...
