Rang of Suction Pressure for different compresors

Reciprocating compressors would be preferable. But even screw compressors can be multi staged by arranging in series to achieve the desired pressure rise. The only disadvantage is that screw compressors are not good for high flow rate applications.

    Design of axial flow compressors

Hi rotw, don't you think for constant mass flow rate the volumetric flow should change as the inverse ratio of density of two fluids rather than their molecular weight?

    Design of centrifugal blowers

Thanks a lot for your answers. In fact I read somewhere that the pressure ratio of a blower increases as the flow rate is decreased. But as far as I know, higher flow rate should give higher pressure rise at the same RPM. So, I am a bit confused regarding this. I think the blower gives higher...

    Design of centrifugal blowers

Somebody please tell me the maximum possible pressure ratio achievable by a centrifugal blower at minimum flow rate and lowest possible RPM.

    Design of axial flow compressors

Can someone tell me what would be the minimum mass flow rate required to gain a pressure rise of 25 KPa in an axial flow compressor with an RPM of 3000. The inlet conditions being 1 atm and 373 K. The fluid used is steam with density of 0.59 kg/m3.
