I work in a steel mill, and we're noticing buildup of mold powder and scale on the interior of 18.75" circular molds. The molds are 110" tall. Since I can't find a wire wheel brush that diameter, I started looking at pipeline cleaning pigs as an alternative. Can anyone direct me to suppliers of pipeline pigs that are not overly complicated? I don't need the normal pressure seals required for pipelines. A pull-through type would be perfect for our application.

I am not sure if you can buy them, but we used to make them for our own work. They were cone shaped for centering with hardened steel bits to do the cleaning. We used to clean bitumen lining off steel pipes 300m long (before cement mortar lining) with loads up to 10 Tons on the bigger pipes.

As an alternative and depending on your circumstances you could consider high pressure water using retro jets. Dyna-rod do this.
