  • I have a pipeline with a DP of 900 psi that will be Hydrotested to 1125 psi

in this pipeline there are 6 ball valves to drain/ vent the pipeline. Those valves (rating # 600) and accordingly the max operating pressure for those valves are 1480 psi.

can I hydrotest the pipeline with valves in closed position, and without installing blind flanges because it is difficult to remove during the hydrotest?

    Hi:
Why are you removing the vent valves . Please blind them with appropriate blind flange on outlet side of these valves.

    Regards,
