I have assigned the material to the elements. When i used linear static solution i don't have any error but when with implicit nonlinear patran/msc nastran 2012 I have found this message : USER FATAL MESSAGE 2016 (IFP6)
NO MATERIAL PROPERTIES EXIST.
0FATAL ERROR
I'm trying to simulate the progressive failure of a composite tube under tensile test with ortotropic properties, using implicit nonlinear solution (sol 400). I have entered linear elastic properties and failure1 (sol 400/600) with maximum stress failure criterion and progressive failure option...
My model is a filament wound composite cylinder (9 layers (0/0/0/55/-55/55/-55/55/-55) resine vinylester/verre E. I'm modeling a tensile test of the tube and i would like to obtain the behavior of the tube after failure.
I'm using Patran 2012/MSC nastran to calculate total damage for a composite tube but when i got the result i don't found total damage for progressive failure of a composite.
I just found failure indice, critical components reserve factors and margins of safety. Should i using MD nastran instead...
I would like to use tool BUT when I try to select it I can't because they are "grey" and I can't select it.
Do I make something wrong?
Should I do something before select it to activate it?
Or Laminated Modeler is not included in my license??
