Dears,
I'm designing an hydraulic oil circuit to test the sealing of a plug on an hydraulic valve.
My idea is:
- to pressurize the circuit with a pump that gets the oil from a tank.
- to adjust the pressure set point with a proportional relief valve, with electrical control
- to close with a...
Hi,
I am working on a Product with several parts and published elements.
When I am working on a Part, I'd like a macro that in one button update top product.
So it is necessary to activate the top product, update all and come back into the previously active part.
Do you know some similar macro...
Thank you for replies.
@JoshPlumSE I could underestand your comprehensible reply.
But.. but I didn't ask any design routines "pick up and read". I didn't ask for building/executive design. I didn't ask for a calculation report.
I just asked for some advices on a sketch. Yes it is not a standard...
Hi!
I should verify (and eventually resize) the following column.
It is made by a bottom and a top plate with two squared steel tube 200x200x10mm (welded to the plates). Please see attached sketch.
The bottom plate will be fastened to the floor through bolts.
I should choice bolts number and...
Yes. It was a my doubt. I'm evaluating to use STANDARD COMBINED ROLLER BEARING with C profile rail. I think they required less precision on mounting surface.
I don't need particular precision. I'm finding alternative solutions, like C profile I mentioned previously. Have you an example of round...
Dears, I’d like to read your advises/ experience regarding the size of a lifting column.
I’m designing a lifting column made with two beams (rectangular steel tubes); there are two linear guide rails fastened to the beams and a plate that can go up and down trough a lead screw driven by an...
Dears,
someone have experience with AS4375 (MS33514) flareless port end? It is a 24º cone flareless port.
I can’t find enough adapters according to this standard, at least in Europe.
Do you know some catalogs where I can find them?
Are they compatible with others 24º cone ports, like Parker...

Hi,
I'm designing a gearbox driveshaft and I'm interested to use AISI 4340 as material.
Is advisable to apply a plating/coating or a thermal treatment in order to improve the corrosion resistance on the spline teeth?
Thanks
Pierluigi
Hi tbuelna,
thanks for your reply. It is exactly what I needed.
""SAE 4340 per AMS6409". The AMS6409 spec covers aircraft quality SAE 4340 alloy steel bar/tubing/forgings in a normalized & tempered condition, so your description is fairly complete."
Ok, it's clear. So the material SAE 4340...
Hi.
Could anyone suggest me a standard or a correct way to specify heat treatment on a drawing?
Which international standard could I refer?
For example, I am specifying a steel "SAE 4340" per AMS6409. According to this standard, this steel should be supplied +NT "normalized and tempered"...
Thanks for reply, jackk.
I know that the measuring the inertia of the partbody give me the result I want, that is the weight of the union trim feature result. But the measuring of the Part will be influenced by all bodies; I'm asking whether it is a way to measure a Product ignoring some bodies...
Yes I know it, if I measure only partbody I get inertia measurement I want. But if I include the part in a product assembly, the product weight will be influenced by all bodies included in the part. Is there a way to ignore some bodies in inertia measurement?
