I agree with you that pumps are different than valves in the sense of piping. But I looked at different catalogues of different manufacturers and face to face dimension of flanges of the pump was same in every case. That's why i thought,there might be standard which is defining this dimension.
I am working on vertical inline multistage pump (VS8) and I lnow that these pumps have standard face to face dimensions like butterfly valves have for pipe connection. But I can not find related standard for pumps.
Hey there!
I am on project of designing of pneumatic-leak testing machine for checking of leak in 3-piece floating ball valves of size NPS 1/4" - 2".
While calculating pressure decay in system, for e.g. NPS 2" valve has volume of appx. 240CC so considering leak of bubble of dia. 0.5mm/ 1- sec...
Hey there!
I was looking at sanitary butterfly valves from alfa laval, pentair etc. They don't provide sanitary butterfly valve with direct mounting actuator pad to mount actuators directly on that (i.e. for other valves, manufacturers provide direct mounting actuator pad according to ISO...
@racookpe1978
yes all letters are behaving in same way, and die is cleaned properly.
@3DDave
Yes, we had provided tapper but we tried rounding top faces of the symbol (as it was little bit flat before) and we got success.
Thank you.
Aiming towards Industry 4.0
Hello!
For a casting using investment casting process in CF3 (SS 304) material, There is extra metal dots coming in letters of company symbol of customer.
For example, If letter is 'B' then holes of extruded 'B' on castings gets filled with extra metal. I have tried to avoid this extra metal...
Hey there!
I was studying ISO 5211(standard for:Industrial valves — Part-turn actuator attachment) in which there is dimensions for drive by key with diagonal head i.e. for stem head in ball or butterfly (quater turn valve) to connect it with actuator. In this, for face to face dimension of...
@Danlap
Sorry for less information!
Actually, i am not that much experienced valve proffessional as, i am novice to the valve industries and studying for that.
So, currently i am studying on butterfly valves and for which i started with theories and then i was looking at manufacturer's site...
Hey there!
Currently, I am studying about butterfly valves in little bit deeper in which i have found basic different types of butterfly valves i.e. 1)centerline valve 2)Double-offset butterfly valve 3)Triple-offset butterfly valve.
But during surfing, i found most of the manufacturers are...
Hello!
I was surfing about differnece between construction of angle seat valve and Y-body globe valve but didn't got clear picture of difference between them! they have likely same kind of structure.
It would be great if anyone can help me with this confusion to get me into a clear picture of...
@littleinch
Thank you!
Sounds good for me, but one of my concern is do additional PLC required to connect valves with SCADA or i can connect directly solenoid valves to the feedback system?
From my point of view, it may require (not sure) to process and identify the signal from limit switch...
@danlap,
I am working on a project for a manufacturing firm, for which i am searching and designing different setups and recently i have found about this forums so you may find my different doubts together in relatively short time (May be i will share more doubts [bigsmile] so you may find too...
Hello!
As people are heading towards Industry 4.0 concept, so for that most of need is to connect valves in a industry with SCADA system.
I am not that much good in electicals & electronics. I am wondering what are the possible ways to connect a ball valve with SCADA systems.
According to my...
@littleinch
Same as you! I have not seen this kind of facility on any valve, too. thats why it sounds new for me but most of the well known companies like bray, apollo etc are providing this option so, wondering that in what kind of industries it can be used and what can be the comparative...
@Danlap
Thank you for your answer!
The sequence that you are thinking is almost similar to my project ( sorry cant provide whole configuraion before prototyping my project!).
But my only struggle is when you are trying to make it automatic/ Semi-automatic only one thing which is manual it...
@mk3223
thank you for your answer but my only confusion is to know that if we do laser marking or vibro punching then can i say that it is complying to standard marking on valve according to ASME 16.34 & MSS SP-25?
Hello!
I am working on project for hydrostatic testing of ball valve according to API 598. In this project, I am clamping the valve using hydraulic cylinder, Once valve has been clamped, pump wil start pumping the water and valve will start filling with water. I am planing to fill this valve...
Hello!
I was refering to standards ASME 16.34 & MSS SP-25, According to that for every ball valve (for e.g.) there is a name plate i.e. containing basic details of that valves are required to attach with ball valve. For this i have a question that Is it compalsary to attach a SS plate on the...
Hello!
I was refering to some companies who are manufacturing ball valves, On their sites they are providing an option of spring return handles (they also call it Deadman handle). This kind of handles are something new that i found during surffing so, I am wondering what can be the aplications...
