I don't have great excel skills
yes a bussman pt to pt would suffice for light commercial residential applications something like 15 nodes / points …..
Happy Friday Engineers,
would anyone be able to share a Short Circuit Calculation - Point to Point Method excel spread sheet? or know of a software that does this via pt. to pt. method?
I have a situation where there is an existing 800a fused switch feeding a new 1200a switchboard with 3 sets of 4#600kcmil + grd. I cant seem to find the code violation for that, any thoughts?
All,
I have a situation and I need to know NEC cite sections of the code.
if I have 5 different electrical services can I commingle downstream in a crown box cables/feeders from the different services? see picture attached herewith please help
Wow you guys are the best so much help thank you very much!!
yeah upstream one MCB main circuit breaker 60Amps controls (2) 40A unfused disconnects of which each feeds the AHU, I figured the 60AMCB is too small and said to upsize to 80Amps lets see what they say. Code to reference would be NEC.
I HAVE TWO 480V CONDENSERS FED OFF ONE 60A MCB IS THIS CODE COMPLIANT? (THEY BOTH HAVE DISCONNECTS IN LINE OF SITE)
12 Ton Unit
MOP – 40A
MCA – 26.4A
14 Ton Unit
MOP – 40A
MCA – 31.3A
No this is not a service the normal service room is adjacent to these two electrical rooms. The emergency power source and feeds are from 2 buildings away in the generator room service switchgear room. These 2 rooms are NEW for ATS equipment and misc panels from normal and emergency equipment...
this is an old building and they are trying to update the building with emergency power, I put all the ATS's in one room along with the emergency panels, I left all the transformers in a separate room along with all fused disconnects and normal panels. The transformers some are for emergency...
Scenario: 2 rooms one room housing ATS sw's other room housing Transformers and secondary fused disconnects for the ATS conductor protection. Can these Fused discos be in a separate room per NEC?
