Hi,
I believe I have solved my problem by further refining the mesh and ensuring compatibility between the different shell elements (I use the submodelling capacities of Abaqus)
thank you for your reply :)
I need to export the results for an entire field of nodes. I typically export the results in a .rpt file.
It appears that at a given time step, several values are given, thus creating non continuous output signals.
I have to refine the meshing to capture as...
Hi,
The field output is defined as "from time points" where the timepoints are defined separately
The output is obtained at a specific node. I see the same trend for other variables such as displacement
Hello everyone,
I am trying to perform a multi-step static analysis on shell elements by means of the subroutine DLOAD.
I extracted the stress history at a specific location (see attached illustration).
I do not understand the shape of the signal. When I look at the results, I can see that...
Dear happy users of Abaqus,
I have defined a relatively complex geometry and I am trying to export the values of a limited selection of elements.
To select the relevant elements when visualizing the results contained in an odb file, I would need to be able to redefine the Front/Back and Top...
Hi,
After having partitioned my instance under Assembly, I try to delete one the two created partitions. Can this be done?
When I click on Feature/delete, it will only let me delete the entire instance. It is not possible to select only one partition.
I tried to follow the same procedure in...
Hi everyone,
I am trying to find the material parameters needed to generate both the original and modified Ramberg-Osgood stress-strain relation for the S355 steel quality.
Does anyone know where these parameters can be found?

Hi again,
I believe I have just found the solution to my problem.
All I had to do was to go to Results/Field Output/Symbol Variable and then activate FREEBODY
It seems to be working.

Hello everyone,
I am trying to extract the nodal forces at nodes of solid elements in Abaqus (as illustrated below)
I have activated NFORC in the field output and defined freebody cuts to extract the nodal forces
But NFORC seems to return only the residual out-of-balance force in the nodes...
