Using NX1915, I keep getting the error message shown below. I was able to semi-work around this by adjusting where the break is, but I can't figure out why it's happening.
Any help is appreciated!
Toost, I believe we are talking about the same thing when you say "export assembly" and I said an "additional file".
We usually have three files per part.
-File "A" is where we design the part (we will call it "XX" in this example). Depending on how far part XX is away in the main assembly, it...
Cowski, I can't. It's controlled by another group and I don't have access.
Jerry, that just exports the model with the datum coordinate system in the export, it doesn't make the datum csys the 0,0,0 (origin) of the newly exported file.
To give an example of what I'm wanting to do, when I...
Long story short, we use NX11 primarily and have some custom functions setup. One said function writes out IGES, STEP and X_T files with just a couple clicks. One of those clicks is selecting the coordinate system we want to use. IGES and STEP export to the selected coordinate system and X_T...
This appears to be the exact issue.
As a test, I just started a blank drawing and inserted a "Base View" of a part that was already loaded into memory. This created a "Drawing Component' in the Assembly Navigator.
The component icon has a miniature drawing underneath.
Also, I have noticed that my actual title may be misleading. "Model Not Showing in Drafting Mode" when 'Drafting Mode' should read 'drawing file' to be more accurate.
So, just to be clear for anyone that may find this thread in the...
NX11. I put it in the title but, maybe I should have put it in the body also.
That did not change anything. Does "Layers Visible in View" change the "model" portion of the file?
We received some UG files from a customer. They used master modeling mode and when I open the model, I can see the 3D geometry. When I open the drawing "model" file I can see the complete drawing, but when I swap to the model side of that file the 3d geometry does not show up. All layers are...
Thanks!
It is a little disappointing that you can't actually have a view off the sheet. The ability to copy and paste the curves off the sheet only helps with 5% of the rare instances I would like to have a view off the sheet.
Is there anyway to drag a view off the sheet and it still be visible? Dimensions and notes can be placed anywhere on screen, but if you drag a view to the sheet "edge" half the view will disappear.
Currently we do not have the electrode design license, so we can not test the usefulness of the package. Does anyone have any experience using Electrode Design package to make 3D models of electrodes that are built to finished size for EDM use? Currently, they are modeled "electrode to steel"...
I don't mind that it's defaulted on, it's that I can't figure out how to turn it off that's the kicker. I found a post where I think someone is asking the same thing and someone told them it could be turned off under Drafting > General/Setup > Workflow (tab) > Pause Delay for On-Screen Dialog...
In NX10 while in drafting mode there is a window that pops up after a seconds delay while dimensioning. While it can be handy, it is constantly in the way and can be aggravating. Is there a way to turn this popup off or at least delay it a few more seconds?
Thanks in advance!
That's actually very helpful. I hate to admit I don't think I knew there were options if you clicked on "Analysis" as I have always expanded the "Analysis" category. Being able to reassign "D" to "Measure Distance" is actually very helpful as I can just hit "D" and "P" in order and it takes me...
I'm currently using NX 10.0 and am trying to find out if I can creating hotkeys for created favorites.
Just as an example, I use "Projected Dimensions" frequently and would like for the "D" key to take me straight to that function instead of "Simple Distance". But under the "Customize...
