    We hire a PLS to go out and survey as drilled locations and elevations. Maybe, 40% of our jobs. It's usually on transportation projects or jobs that involve slope stability.

    I am using Rocscience Slide 2D slope stability software for the first time. Whenever I click the "compute" command I get the following error "ERROR, invalid command line". I am unsure what "command line" is referring to.

    Rock Classification References

    Does anyone know of any good references for classifying rock for engineering purposes? I'm a relatively new geotechnical field engineer and don't have much of a background in geology other than one basic class my freshman year.
