Only ASME authorizes pressure vessels, heat exchangers and boilers manufactures can manufactures stamped vessels (with U and U2), before proceeding make sure manufacture's U and U2 certificates validity. Further supplier/ manufacture they only fabricate/ manufacture the vessel as per ASME...
A carbon steel vessel as per ASME Sec. VIII Div.1 satisfy UG-20(f)(1), (2), (4) & (5).
Design temperature is 687 deg.F, so vessel do not satisfy UG-20(f)(3).
As UG-20(f) is not satisfied, does impact testing becomes mandatory ?

I have a query,while designing pressure vessel as per ASME section VIII did 1 on PV Elite does cyclic loading need to consider in instrument air receiver vessel?
Or we can do analysis without cyclic loading.
