Thank you everyone for the comments. I agree that in terms of Sheetmetal, typically gussets refer to welded support features and ribs refer to formed support features.

In terms of Sheet Metal, what's the difference between "Ribs" and "Gussets"? The two terms seem to be used interchangeably. Typically when I hear ribbing, it refers to plastic/injection molding design and Gussets refer to Sheet Metal.

Are using colorized (shaded) views on drawings against ASME Drafting Standards? I work at a company who does this and I'm trying to make an argument against it and to use the standard black-n-white wireframe views.
I've been reading a little about the differences between rolled threads vs. cut threads. One question I have is can you roll "fine threads" as opposed to "course threads"? Seems the accuracy of rolled threads would be limited, is that the case?
I've always been vague on this. Is there a difference between Ordinate Dimensions and Coordinate Dimensions or are they the same? It seems the terms are used interchangeably.
