Dear Stookeyfpe,
I coated the sentences above from NFPA 415 itself. what I didn't find in NFPA is the design requirements such as pressure, flow, size etc. for canon system.
Thanks for your reply.
greetings to all,
while reviewing a survey for the design of external drainage system for airport terminal building, have come across the water canons placed under the passenger loading bridges. I have designed fire networks before but only external fire hydrants. when i checked the related NFPA...
hi,
if you know the size of the depression or volume then use storage discharge curve in reservoir..do not apply any arbitrary outlet or orifice..follow below steps
1- calculate what is the peak discharge from 1A including depression storage area...but donot use reservoir in this run
2- once...
Hi BillsSis,
if you have rainfall depth for particular return period storm then just enter this in to metrological model (make new) under component tab (choose SCS storm) there you find method(choose type 2) and enter depth.
For control specification make sure you enter dates in correct format...
I am reviewing a design report, please suggest me references for design return period for culverts/ bridges in South African Countries.

I agree with the points put forward by "psmart".
moreover if we observe the size of the pond and culvert levels as mentioned in the above comments, a simple culvert with no control structure will provide you only 2' water level in the pond. please correct me if am wrong.
I think, if the inlet and outlet pipe sizes of the manhole are same then water levels shall not rise in the manhole.
However do note for the provision of overflow pipe connecting to the manholes.
Hi all,
can any one have the idea about the maximum drop depth allowed in the sewage manhole with 1000 mm pipe, please provide references for the same.
