    Mobile crane drawing

Hi Mike, i figured it out. As you said, the symbol in the CE block is a sump or reservoir. The 160l reservoir and the reservoir in the CE block are physically the same. You were right. The solenoid valve in the CE block diverts the hydraulic oil to tank when all the DC valves in the valve block...

    Mobile crane drawing

Many thanks for the info Mike. The 3 port valve at lower left block is to select extend/retract of outrigger beams of the mobile crane or for crane use.

    Mobile crane drawing

See red arrow. Anyone know what the symbol is. The component is connected to a block valve. The drawing is from an mobile crane my friend bought second hand a few weeks ago. The first owner lost part of the manual...

Problem understanding pilot system in hydraulic schematic

Many thanks HPost. The drawing is from a german company named HESS. Never mind the blocking valve. I know how it works. I only wanted a name for it. I understand the pilot system now. Thanks again.

Problem understanding pilot system in hydraulic schematic

Hi, i'm not yet a very good schematic reader but i'm trying hard and eventually hope to do better with schematics. I have a problem understanding the pilot system in this schematic. The schematic is of a concrete factory. 1 See red cross: Why is the other pilot side of the valve connected to...

External gear pump bearing block installed in wrong direction

Many thanks HPost. The picture i posted is not the picture of the pump. It's an example to show the bushing cavity. The actual pump is worn out on the drive side of the gears. The gear axles contacted the housing on the drive side and are worn out. The side of the gears contacted the bushings on...

External gear pump bearing block installed in wrong direction

The drive shaft side of both gears are worn. The sides of the gears and the sides of the axles of the gears are worn. I suspect the bushing (bearing) block of the other side of the gears was not installed correctly. The big cavity with the grooves was installed on the outlet side of the pump...

External gear pump bearing block installed in wrong direction

    Here a picture of what i meanhttp://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=dd32c513-3ae6-4fee-a528-47c6bd228baa&file=gear_pump1.png

External gear pump bearing block installed in wrong direction

Ok, but if the cut out (grooves) of one of the bearing (bushing) blocks is on the outlet side of the pump that means that on that side there will be high pressure, which will force the shafts of the gears to the other side. Am i correct??

External gear pump bearing block installed in wrong direction

Oh sorry. Here is the picture.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=5a90819b-79db-4992-b884-43dbec219d57&file=gear_pump.jpg

External gear pump bearing block installed in wrong direction

Hi, see attached picture. The cavity where the arrow points to is installed on the suction side of the external gear pump. Is it possible that if the cavity is installed on the outlet (wrong) side of the gear pump, the other side of the gears will wear out very quick due to the high pressure on...

    Gauge

Hi, annyone know what the specific name of the gauge is. I know it has something to do with temperature, but in the manual of the equipment it is named an oil level gauge. http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=8b7de630-934b-4dd9-808d-cfdf362db3ef&file=symbol3.png

    Help with symbol

Many thanks HPost. Your response is the kind of response i am looking for.. Two years ago i came across this symbol when analyzing a schematic of a crane and i couldn't find it on the internet. There was no need to search for the symbol anymore because the company, i analyzed the schematic for...

    Help with symbol

Monkeydog, the reason i'm member of this forum is to receive information and also to contribute to the knowledge of the forum members. Why did you have to ask if i have done my own web search on pneumatic symbols? Do you ask everyone on this forum, if they have done their own web search before...
