ok, got it. I had a confusion that whether ss410 will come under low alloy steel, but external pressure chart is specified in Table 1A as you indicated.
In MTC of 304L material it is mentioned that IGC Test as per ASTM A262 practice E is carried out and the material is passed the test. Why L grades are required to be IGC tested (Already this grade is having C<0.03% which means it will not sensitize) ?
ASME section VIII division I allows SS 316 and SS 304 up to 825C. These steels get sensitized at temperatures between 420-850C, so why the standard allows use of these material at these temperatures?
