Hello Compositepro,
Thanks for your insight, I think I understand a bit better what happens.
My initial undertsanding was that as long as you were above Tg (in the liquid or sol/gel state), molecular mobiltity was sufficient to have decent crosslinking kinetics. This is what can be found in...
Hello all, I am not coming from a chemical background so there is a phenomenon for which I cannot find a decent explanation.
I currently use thermoset polyurethane retort adhesives and coatings. These products have a fairly low fully reacted Tg (somewhere between 0 and 10°C) to remain flexible...
Hello,
I'd like to find a clever way to clamp a two parts insert for a composite plate with a hole during bonding, with minimal rotation to keep the two parts roughly aligned (for cosmetic reasons) even if plate thickness varies slightly.
Thanks, that's a starting point !
Apparently there is a german standard too, but most of the info I find relates to the overall dimensions rather than the thread profile/pitch.
Hello all,
I am looking for some references (handbooks, tutorials, etc) related to the design of twist-off type threads, similar to those that can be found on jar lids for instance.
I suspect these are partial threads with a very high pitch, but would be happy to have some advice or rulle of...
Hello Waldemar,
Wet lay-up Carbon Epoxy is still fairly used for marine structures. with our without vacuum bagging.
ISO 12115-5:2008 (and maybe later revisions ?) has tables and calculations for determining design allowables for such materials, based on fibre mass or volume content depending on...
