    creating my own dcp-cbr correlation

hello everyone I know there are already many threads about CBR and DCP, but I didn't find a satisfactory answer is the existing correlation between CBR and DCP are : a- field dcp on natural soil and soaked lab cbr on compacted sample (ASTM d1883)? b- field dcp on compacted soil and soaked lab...

using soil sample more than once

hi what's the risk of using soil sample in more than one test ? like re-compacting a sample that already undergo CBR test and testing it again with different density or using a tested unsoaked CBR specimen for soaked test ? does CBR test or proctor test crush's soil particles ?

    field cbr vs. lab cbr

the cone i'm using is 60 deg 20 mm dia with 8kg hammer falling from 575 mm . so would it be OK to correlate dcp to lab (soaked) cbr if i prepared samples with same density as in field ?
  4. civilQ

    field cbr vs. lab cbr

the ASTM method states that the sample should be compacted with 56 blow if i do so the sample will have higher density than field density and the asmt correlate dcp with field cbr which is difficult for me to accomplish . so i'm trying to correlate with lab cbr . i already know that lab cbr is...

    field cbr vs. lab cbr

hello everyone i know this is a repeated question but i did not find a good answer , is there a correlation between in-situ cbr and lab cbr , because i'm trying to relate DCP TO CBR for a specific type of soil [ponder]

    about cbr test

    i can use the collar

    about cbr test

hello what is the purpose of using a filter paper in cbr test and is it correct to use the modified proctor molds (152 mm dia 115 mm height ) for cbr without a spacer disk since it gives same sample volume ?

    dynamic cone penetration (DCP)

hello what parameters do you suggest to correlate with dcp considering gypseous soil aside from cbr ? is it a good idea to correlate with bearing capacity ? and is it safe to say field cbr twice lab. cbr value ? i read that somewhere .

    electrical resistivity in gypseous soil

hello can you please provide me with any useful information regarding electrical resistivity test in gypseous soil and resistivity meter price ?

    Ground penetration radar (G.P.R.)

thank you for posting MichaelFrolov , but i'm required to make a research on the GPR technique specifically .

    Ground penetration radar (G.P.R.)

thanks for replying coneboy , could you tell me what frequencies you used , or any other useful info. , it may be difficult foe me to find an expert GPR operator .

    Ground penetration radar (G.P.R.)

(5-10)m will be good , gypsum content (35-50)% . thanks for replying .

    Ground penetration radar (G.P.R.)

Thanks for the replies and i apologize for late answer . . I need it at least to show soil stratification if possible , I'm trying to check if it is possible to detect weak soil specially gypsum soil using GPR .

    Ground penetration radar (G.P.R.)

HI is it possible to correlate between GPR output data and soil type, moisture content or any other properties of soil ?
