What I want to do is as follows:
I have a known load to move.
With the rotor slip rings short circuited I get a certain speed called "n1".
If I add resistance using a resistance bank, then I will get another speed called "n2" where n2<n1.
My problem is that this practice is not an energy...

I think the one that have better understood what I'm looking for is jraef.
What I want to do is to replace the resistor bank for some solid state device that simulate exactly its behavior.
I've never seen such a device.
Have you?
Does anybody knows if exist some solid-state device that replace the large multi-stage bank resistor that is normally used in wound rotors in order to start and control the speed?

What I trying to mean by historical report is to bring data from the PLC (integers, floating, bits) via DDE into excel datasheet every 60 secs.
Every reading (performed every 60 secs) should be paste in the next row found empty by the macro in the excel datasheet.

With this method I'll be able to refresh the data value into a single cell.
What I'm trying to do is perform a historical report of many variables in the excel datasheet.
Does anybody know how to do this?
Actually I'm trying to use VBA commands available in excel and I've got some results, but my problem is how can I get the macro working every, lets say 60 seconds, by itself and bringing data into the excel worksheet.
Could anybody help me?
