Solidworks Gauge and Bend deduction table problems

Hello all, I am having an issue with using the gauge and bend tables. I get an error saying "The radius of the bend fell outside the bend allowance/deduction table. The bend allowance is calculated using the k factor instead". I have made sure my tables are correct and have tried all different...

    Axle bearing problem

Awesome Cockroach! I just did a similar method to this except with just a point load in between the two bearings. I shall look over your calcs, I know need to review my basic statics, too much time spent away Thank you.

    Axle bearing problem

Hello, I have this axle part of a wheel assembly and need some basic hand calculations done on the axle. I attached a outline of the picture of the problem. I was thinking of treating this like a round bar and calculating the max deflection and comparing that with a computer simulation. How...

    Belt Furnace Contamination

I am researching possible parameters that could be affecting the quality of our heat treated products and am interested in inline continuous furnace processing rather than batch processing. Is there any concern with possible contamination from the metal belts being used in these inline conveyer...

    Optimizing old belt furnace equipment

Can a computer PC system be installed onto a belt furnace for temperature control and profiling? How much work/cost would that take? Sorry for the broad question, still in the early planning stages. Thanks in advance!

Adding a fan to a explosion proof enclosure

Thanks All! Some more info on this, the resistor will be running for 20 minutes tops and will be in its own enclosure, so we're thinking of using a larger aluminum enclosure and use the breathers that DRweig suggested. Doing Work

Adding a fan to a explosion proof enclosure

Hi, Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance. We have a large brake resistor inside an enclosure and we're thinking of adding a fan inside for cooling because the inside can reach temperatures as high as 70-80 celcius. The problem is that explosion proof enclosures usually don't have any...

Heat treatment in a conveyer furnace

Doesn't the higher temperature zone affect the lower temperature zones though? For example, the 500C zone will cause changes to the 150C zone. Also, How well can the temperature in the zone be controlled?
