i am applying a load of 50KN gradually on a reinforced concrete beam,
i'm unloading this load using an amplitude to get the loading and unloading versus deflection graph.

the problem is with the run , it has reached the maximum load...
i have used damaged plasticity model in abaqus to represent concrete for RC beam modelling, i have got good deflections compared to literature.
but when using smeared cracking model for the same RC beam, i get an error message before the completion of the step "too many attempts made for this...
s there any tutorial or a MATLAB code to get the dynamic response of a beam subjected to moving load in frequency domain and time domain.
they usually use modal superposition to get mode shapes first and then use them to derive the equation of motion of the beam, then they solve it !
