@Kiribanda
I read many research absracts to approximate the number of anode on each CP station bed along a 273 Km 36'' Gas pipeline.
I'm preparing a budgetary cost estimation to determine the Number of anode approximately needed in average on each CP station (The client mentionned that the CP...
HI ALL
IF I CHOOSE A 7 AMPS (19mm*1220mm) MMO ANODE with 7 amps current rating WITH 20 YEARS LIFE PERIOD. HOW IT WOULD BE THE PRODUCTION IN CURRENT OF A GROUND BED STRING COMPOSED BY 15 ANODES OF THIS TYPE? IS IT 7*15=105 AMPS or 7 Amps ??

Hy Guys
I'm looking to diversify my Project management profile and i want to contribute/manage more in Projects with PLC & Automation aspects. (I'm a Project engineer in industrial construction projects, Eg, Pipings, Metallic structures and civil engineering). My questions are:
1) What i...
Hi ASMA
It depends on the time required for every weld joint size and the complexity of installation area.
I can help if you have discription of the complete works

Thanks guys for your replies
According to your opinions, i can evaluate (it is just the most propable thing), that the cause of corrosion can be combined into 4 factors:
CO2 Amount: That quantity showed above (96 mgCO2/l) was mesuared at ambiant pressure, that means the real quatity @CO2...
@SEN
Thanks for your answer
Look to the following picture to see wath we have found inside pipe (visual investigation) before acceding to the analyses:
My priority now is to identify failure cause based on the mentionned chemical analysis and it is clear that there are something strange with...
Hy guys
I've presented perviously through a couples of posts, a problem discussing leaks appeared suddenly in process API 5L PSL1 piping (3 and 6 inchs) carying produced water in an oil&gas facility, after only 100 days of utilization and the shape of corroded areas (holes) founded.
An...
HY SJmetallurgist.
Thanks for your Post. We are starting to narrowing down causes. The only disturbing parameter for us is the short period of corrosion (High corrosion rate value, How this can be possible);it took only 1 mounth for a 6'' line and 4 mounths for the 3'' pipe before leaks...
Hello guys
We opened transversely the concerned pipe and besides to the leak shapes (see photos bellow), we noticed the presence of chlore, salt and sulfur impurties.(More laboratory tests will be performed)
Api570 and API574 inspectors are working now on the possible reasons of such corrosion...
@sjones
All things you re asking for are under analysis, and when problem is solved, I will share causes with you in particular 😊
Till that time, I m sharing this here to get/know:
1)if any similar failures (with same conditions) happenned somewhere and this is can be very helpful for all...
HY ED again
I remember your notes in my previous thread (N°thread330-467841)before strating this investigation and it was very helpful.
The case is starting to be clear now, Possibles reasons were been identified by having a greater idea about corrosion type and distribution over the pipe. (by...
Hello guys
We are in the middle of an investigation to determine the reason leading to the appearance of a ponctual corrosion phenomena inside a newly installed 3'' SCH40 ASTM A106 process piping carrying a produced water stream inside a petroleum processing facility (water with hight amounts...
hy guys
DHURJATI SEN: I'm investigating different reasons, in particular fluid velocity, Many studies claimed that the faster the fluid is (with a huge amount of CO2 & Salinity), The greater its corrosion rate (which can reach 11mm per year). Additional pipe tests (chemical & mechanichal...
hy guys,
I have received photos about the 3'' pipe leak ocuured recently (see below)
@Edstainless:
I remember that there is no much time between hydro test, pipe dewatering and commissionning (couple of hours)!
No troubles were been detected during pressure mounting (especially with...
thanks gyus for your prompt answers,
I'm still searching for logical reasons by doing a re-verification of all inspection certificates done in the mill. i did'nt found something with a conflict.
Brief description:
the appearance of the first leak was near to a weld joint,so we thought at the...
Hy guys,
Any one can help me in figuring-out reasons on leaks, happened suddenly on a newly installed 6'' and 3'' process piping. [sad]
How can this happens fastly?
Has any body faced such a problem ?
DATA:
Time between commissionning and leaks occuring = 4 mounths ONLY !!!! Not years...
Thank you littleinch
It was kind to consider my question
I checked all the existed drawings of the facility(including Arragement drawings) but i can't findd it, I contacted the First founder contractor / client also no result/answere.. it is seem to me strange and funny in the same time
One...
Hy Pennpiper
As a beginner in piping engineering, I'm just asking to strength, as fast as possible,my knowldege about ISOMETRIC secrets.
I don't care about bad answers, and i will consider only good ones :)
As u know, Drawing an ISOMETRIC isn't easy. it require a certain amount of...
