Dear Sirs for several gear pumps, on process data sheet is present the indication of an external downstream pressure switch...and for those pumps is not present the indication for internal relief set.. i think internal relief valve should be provided and its set pressure too, regardless...

Dear Sirs in a P&ID for a Gear Pump, is present this note "magnetorestrictive Level Measurement".. The instrumentation should be supplied by pump vendor or this is an instrumentation department problem??

ok thank you for the answer!! at the same time i think that the presence of internal relief valve doesn't involve the assence of PSV on the recirculation line.. in my opinion the second one is a protection for the line, infact is set in function of the line rating. do you agree?
