    Thank you 3DDave. Did not think about the non-linear force. Adding external damper is definitely not a problem. Looks like my best bet is to go with a Torsion spring. The question is how do I spec out the Torsion Spring? What Torque? If I have to, I can change my spec and go up in 5 seconds...
