If you send drawings for all files, just have a note on your title block that requires specific font usage and then provide that with each quote/file distribution.
I have a part that I asked a colleague to apply a decal and see if it would work ok.
Well, it did, but now saving takes forever and says "processing lights" during save for 75% of the save time.
I deleted the decal and associated info, as well as run a part cleanup, but that doesn't seem to...
Hey, is there a way to export a measurement value or multiple measurements to txt or xls file?
I have a linkage assembly together where I am changing the length of 1 part and when I do this, it automatically changes the entire assembly layout because it is fully constrained. As it changes, I...
I figured it out, the rear shock is directly in the RH and LH assemblies, whereas the front shock is in a shock assembly with the spring, and that shock assembly is in the RH and LH assemblies.
So, it makes sense now, not sure how I didn't see this. I'm changing the arrangement in the same...
will-eng, that's exactly what I have.
Maybe I should explain more.
Here's my structure minus a bunch of other parts:
- Main suspension assembly
-- RH Assembly
--- Shock with arrangements
--- Other parts
-- LH Assembly
--- Shock with arrangements
--- Other parts
What I can't do is show these...
Ok, basically I have a suspension assembly and the shocks have arrangements of different lengths. I want to look at the suspension with one side showing a different arrangement than the other side, but when I change arrangements in one side, the other changes as well.
How do I make these...
Ok, added a circle at the center of the slot in the slot sketch. Made sketch layer visible in view to create centermark. Then made sketch layer invisible in view.
Slots shouldn't be this hard. It should be a function of the hole command with a reference direction and length.
Unless there's a projected view at an angle.
The offset centerline only goes horizontal or vertical, without a reference to what is horizontal or vertical.....
I'm having trouble putting a slot in a sheet metal part.
First off, the reason I want to use the slot feature is so I can dimension to the center of the slot(aka, add a centerline to the center of the slot) and not the ends.
If there's an easier solution to this then stop reading and let me...
Ok, so if the imported data is no longer used. I can delete the expressions?
The part I snipped those from has zero imported data. it's only a sketch, a tube, another sketch and a revolve.
Does this also occur with assemblies when a part file is added to the assembly?
The parts I work on create hundreds of expressions on their own as seen in the attached image.
I'm curious if anyone knows why or how this happens and if there is a way to prevent this from happening?
I don't understand whats going on here. I want to move a bunch of parts in an assembly. But I cant move them together because I get the error in the attachment. I select all parts and then select move, then the program deselects all the parts.
I want to know why this is happening so I can...
On another note. I'm trying to export the scan with other parts to show the relation to a supplier.
However, because it's a faceted body, I can't export it to .stp or .x_t .
Any help?
I want to mirror a facet body to see what a full studio surface will look like.
Unfortunately I do not have the Shape Studio license.
I can use Mirror Display, which mirrors everything visible. But this is just a quick look and I want something more definitive.
