Does anyone know why the AISC 358-05 does not have a limit on the column size for the prequalified BUEP and BSEP moment connections as opposed to the FEMA 350. I understand that FEMA did tests on various column sizes and recommended using W12's and W14's for SMF. Did AISC do further tests that...
Can anyone tell me how they came about the values for the imposed loads in the codes (eg. ASCE 7, BS6399 etc.) ?
