Dear kslee1000,
I agree, my point is that we cann't use gage more than
4 1/2" for web 3/16" [ because max. spacing should be 3/16" x 24 = 4.5" and in that case we should use narrow gage 4"
( (2)-L 3 1/2x3x5/16 ) ].
Sincerely,
Dear StructLin,
there is some limitations for max. distance in bolt's (rivet's)group between bolts (rivets)as you know.
One of it for web 3/16" thk. is 3/16" x 24 = 4 1/2".
Sincerely,
Dear NUTTE,
Thank you for your answer.
It seems to me all bolts consist of one group of bolts.
I suppose that this requirement provides a work of bolts together and reduce deformations in connection - as web as angles.
What do you think?
Sincerely,
Dear Sir/ Madam,
We have framing with beams W12x22 and W10x12. The web thk. of both of it 3/16". The same time we use double-angle
( (2)-L 4x3 1/2x5/16 )connections with wide gage 5 1/2".
It seems to me we can not do it because max. spacing should be 3/16" x 24 = 4.5" and in that case we...
Dear Sir/ Madam,
Please, confirm:
1. the spacing shall not exceed 4.5" for web's thk. 3/16" (MC12x10.6)
or
2. we should take stringer with thicker web.
Sincerely,
Dear nutte,
thank you for answer!
