abhimech1991, as others have stated there are number of different calculations for this. If the tubesheet is on a boiler it would be calculated using ASME Section I or IV. aslam, if you are regulated by law and require code repairs, yes this would be a code repair and possibly an alteration. Do the original drawings include these brackets? Welding attachments directly to a pressure vessel are considered a code repair. I would recommend always repairing ASME...- MMcArdle
