Hi Gents,
Pls see thi video in youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtVlSWCJJoE.
My project, we need to joint copper to copper by bazing capillary. This is the fist time i see this process. I dont have experience, Pls see this video and give me your advice:
1. Which method clean suface, how...
Hi Friends,
Our project had serious problem. All weld joint between Pipe-CuNi to Flange-CuNi had defect crack in Flange side (Pipe side no problem). I would like give you some information to you give me advice:
Base: CuNi
Thickness: 7 mm
Welding Process: GTAW
Welding...
Hi pradipgoswami
Existing PQR:
+ Base metal: SA106 GrB
+ Thickness: 8.74 mm
+ Welding process: GTAW
+ Consumable: ER70S-6
+ PWHT: No
+ Mechaical test: Tensile, Bend test, CVN, Macro, Hardness
+ Hardness test result (As picture)
Now material: ASTM A106 GrB + NACE MR00175
Hi Friends,
Our project has one kind of materials is Carbon Steel-NACE. I know that this is a kind of Carbon Steel desgin with NACE standards. I checked in the ASME that it has no effect on PQR whether Carbon steel is NACE or not NACE. However, Client still insist that we must Re-qualify PQR...
Hi friends,
i have tubular OD=1100 mm, welding spiral (sloping 40 degree between axis tubular) accoding to ASME IX. I dont know position of this joint: 5G or 3G.. Pls give me advice.
Hi Friends,
We qualified PQR inconel UNS 6625 weld to low temp Carbon Steel (A333 Gr 6). All mechanicate passed except Root bend test. The defect lack of fusion at boundary have appeared manny time. We try many time but still similar defect.
Would like give some information for your study...
when we qualify PQR, we will record all the value of interpass in all pass (Root, Hot, Fill, Cap). We will choose the biggest value among all the value (called A) According to ASME IX, in WPS we will add more 56 degree to this biggest value of interpass, so Maximun interpass temperature in WPS...
Hi friend,
I have to weld CuNi to Carbon Steel (API 5L X52), Butt weld, thickness 5-7mm.
Which is welding consumable?
Which is Process (GTAW or Brazing..)
Which is parameter (Heat treament, Pre-heat.....)
Pls give me advice.
Hi Friends,
If you have a strange base metal, you only know tensile and chemical composition but you dont know AWS or ASTM Classification. Now, you have to weld this, you dont know the suitable electrode what will you do?
Example, I currenly have ASTM 1566 UNS G15660 but I dont know suitable...
Hi Friends,
My spec require hadness value 310 HV10 but The laboratory have been tested at HV5. My client reject this result and require to Re-Test hardness at HV10. I know that HV5 or HV10 is same result. You can share to me some standards or guide books to convert HV5 to HV10. Thanks you so much
