Hi All
You are all correct, that pressure is far too high. The units are actually Pa, but I wrote kPa on the axis.
It's a fairly simple centrifical pump.
I've started using a transient analysis, which is giving better (higher) pressure, but still not accurate enough. I'm getting 182 kPa, chasing...
Hi All
I've recently been trying to model one of my company's pumps so that i can later use CFD to predict the performance of new designs.
My results seem to be quite close at higher flows which I'm happy with, but at high pressures (low flows) my pressure is significantly down on the measured...
Hi All
Thanks everyone for your replies. I have taken your advice and focused on finding the beating frequency, using Band passed time series analysis (thanks GregLocock). Please see the attached images (smaller than last time); 1 of the original time series graph, band-passed to the specific 2...
Hi All
I have a number of small 1 KW electric motors running at 240V 50Hz. these are usually attached to pumps, but I am fairly sure this noise isn't emanating from the pump, but the motor itself.
The noise we're getting is a beating (adding/subtracting of multiple frequencies), not a single...
