Studying the ASME BPVC Section IX to figure out if our WPS and PQR are written properly.
Two Production Scenarios:
A) Insert a 5/8" OD Tube .049 Wall SS304 into a hole in a 5" SCH40 Pipe. Then weld on the outside of the pipe and tube.
B) Welding 5/8" OD Tube .049 Wall SS304 to another 5/8" OD...
Any good resources to calculate the required range to roller expand tubes into tubesheets.
Any good resources with images of a good roller expanded tube and quality errors for poorly expanded tube?
Options in Elliott Tool's info online? They provide a good formula and recommended wall...
So we have a predicament. My guys over expanded the tubes and it resulted in warping of the tube sheet.
I have an intercooler much like a one pass tube bundle with tubesheets on both sides of the tubes (not U Bend). My guys over roller expanded, reducing the tube wall 22% when calcs say 10%...
