    The use of UNS S41003 for pressure vessels was addressed in ASME Case Code CC2358. This refers to another ASTM spec A1010 which also references grade UNS S41003, and the ruling gives scope of application. Note that 3CR12 was only ever certified to ASTM A240 UNS S41003, and not UNS S40977.
