I was able to get it to work by guessing different numbers. The second time I did it was totally different than the first time, the plane was way out in space, whereas the first time the plane was closer to the part.
I want to do a broken out section on my initial view in a drawing. The problem is I don't have any edges that are where I want the section to be taken. Does anyone know what the default plane is that you use to sketch the outline on? I find that it is off center of the view by using the 3d...
Does anyone know why I cannot change the display state of a sub-assembly in an assembly? The display state box is grayed out and I cannot select anything in it.
My company uses TruNEST by Magestic Systems. It has the capability of reading Solidworks models without having to go through the trouble of translating to dxf format. Our machine shop is in the midst of upgrading the software so we no longer have to use dxf.

I just recently started to have this problem. When I create a note and choose to have it underlined, the lineweight of the underline is very thick. Any ideas on where to adjust this?
I created a drawing in solidworks. Then I saved it as a .dwg. When I pull it up in autocad (the dwg) the hatch patterns that are not ANSI standard are not there.
When I open an autocad drawing that I created by saving a solidworks drawing, I notice that all of the hatch patterns that are not ANSI are missing. What I mean by this is my company created our own set of hatch patterns for the materials we use and added them to the existing library with the...
