Concrete Damaged PLasticity - Effect of Kc

I'm trying to develop yield surface of a material for a particular value of hydrostatic stress(since CDP model uses drucker-prager hypothesis).. In user manual, it is given that, for Kc value of 1, i should get a circle, and for Kc value of 0.667, i should get a shape of inverted triangle in...

Modelling of a quasi-brittle material using concrete damage plasticity

Hi.. i am having a material that behaves as a quasi-brittle material in a operating temperature range. So I thought of modelling it using concrete damage plasticity(CDP) model using ABAQUS.. 1. Is that right Or to what extent it is possible? 2. What are the details I need to know about...

    splitting the analysis

Make sure ur drive in which ABAQUS is installed has lot of free space depending upon the job you are running. If u are from in college, u can enquire about CLUSTERS, for the purpose of running the job. Hope this helps..

What Boundary Condition to be applied for a Plane surface to remain as plane after loading..?

In equation, I selected the all the nodes on the plane except central node and named them as a set-1. Then I select the unselected node as Set-2. from interaction->select equation-> co-efficient -1 for set1 and 1 for set2; and gave my DOF of interest, and got the result plane remaining as plane...

    avarage stress?

if u are solving 3D problem, ur elements must be brick elements, wherein 8 nodal stresses will be present. I also tried searching for some numerical method to find out the average stress in an element, But finally nothing i could do. So what i did, i reduced elemental size, and take the stresses...

What Boundary Condition to be applied for a Plane surface to remain as plane after loading..?

Hi all. I am Aravindan. I'm facing an issue in a ABAQUS problem. "I have a cube with a spherical empty shell in middle. So I took 1/8th model as shown in figure. So, along the three faces where sphere is cut, I have applied symmetry BC. But on the remaining three sides, I dont want the surface...
