    DC motor control

Andrew, Glad we have been of some help to you. I have a background in automotive electronics, test equipment design, PSUs & motor control. Your application intrigues me, in most vehicle apps weight & power conservation is of significant concern to the manufacturer. Consequently, they are...

    DC motor control

Precisely my own thoughts Barry1961. The power requirement is just shy of 400W for the worst case situation. So, a good precision linear psu of 500W or more with remote sense, adjustable output & foldback could be exactly what Andrew is looking for (it would be if it were my problem). I don't...

    DC motor control

So, is it that you want a linear output, where the exact linear motor terminal voltage level at variouse load values can be measured? Or a pwm output, where the effective terminal voltage is derived from the ratio of mark to space of the 14V DC pulse train supplied to your motor? Is the system...

    DC motor control

There are always a number of ways to skin the problematic cat. How do you know that your digital interface does not hide an analogue control internaly? If it did, would it matter? Why, specificaly, are you looking for a 'an all-digital unit'? Sorry for the questions, just trying to get a...

    Mitsubishi Programming on a Budget.

To xyzz, Hi, just got Medoc up & running, nice little app, but (there's always a but) it wants to save to my 'D' drive rather than to 'C'. Is there a way to point it to 'C', as it tries but fails with 'D' (both are hard drives btw). Your help (if you can) would be greatly appreciated. Ben.

Sorry Sergei, I thought that I had placed my response to wildrose911 here. My only point was that the windows eval copy was promised but never delivered (I still live in hope).

    Mitsubishi Programming on a Budget.

Hi 28021973, Any news on the eval copy of FXGPwin? I would be most grateful for it if you are able to send. xyzz was quite correct, the 'dongle' is an RS232 to RS422 convertor, very simple to knock up, and a lot less than £150.00.

Sergei thanks muchly for your help. I would be very pleased to have a copy of the Melsec program if you can find the time to send it. I've had a good look at the MRPLC board. It appears that as I surmised the dongle might be more about protocol rather than obfuscation.

    Mitsubishi Programming on a Budget.

An overview; I've got over twenty five Mitsubishi PLC units, some almost brand new, a couple up to five years old. All more or less in working order. They came to me 'at the right price' & I have projects planned for several. In a former life, I made my living as an electronics design...
