Speech - tests of relative intelligibility

We're using a TEF20 analyzer. If you can afford to buy this equipment, it will help you a lot in your audio testing and measurements. Truly it can measure intelligibility, STI and RASTI; as well as room acoustics can be evaluated using this equipment. etp6716

    C-Band Downlink Interference

    Thanks we'll try it.

    C-Band Downlink Interference

We're using LNB with 15 K noise figure. Hope this is quiet enough to have a lock on our signal. I'm not sure with its gain value.

    C-Band Downlink Interference

No we don't have. The antenna size is 3.7m. for this system. In another downlink, we have 1.8m.; here we can easily received the signal unlike the latter set-up i mention. What do you think seems the problem? Is it RF interference due to proximity to TV tower. The antenna is almost 700 ft. above...

    C-Band Downlink Interference

Actually the system is already working but we find it very hard to lock on downlink side, we're operating on the C-band. At the same time our bandwidth is only 3 MHz.

    C-Band Downlink Interference

Is it possible to locate an uplink / downlink system near a transmitter tower of a UHF TV station? Will your uplink be affected or it is only the downlink side?

    Bandwidth

svermill, do you have a formula that relates symbol rate, info bit rate, FEC rate to TX bandwidth? Can u post it here? Thanks in advance, etpineda

    Satellite cable

RG-6 and RG-59 are of the same application; they have the same characteristic impedance, that is, 75 ohms. They differ only in the amount of loss. RG-59 has a greater attenuation than RG-6. We all know that attenuation in coaxial cables increases with frequency, and so the same for RG-59 used in...

    C-Band Downlink Interference

Do you have a spectrum analyzer? This is important for us to identify the type of interference you are experiencing.

Why use tens of GHz to communicate between satelites and ground base?

Other reason is the size of wavelength with respect to frequency. Wavelength is inversely proportional to frequency, therefore low frequency possess longer wavelengths than high frequencies. What is the significance of this? Between satellite and earth station, we have this ionosphere...

    Bandwidth

What about in satellite communication, what is the relation of your transmission rate, symbol rate and bandwidth a particular carrier can occupy in a transponder? Thanks in advance,

    Satellite transmission

Better to double the effective area of both of the antennas, this will provide you more power and less uplink power to your uplink terminals because the gain of your antenna increases with size directly. With respect to frequency, the path loss between the earth station and satellite will...
