Hole size with tolerance for Shaft

Curious if you measured shaft diameter to .355 mm accuracy, or if this is a drawing dimension (260.355 mm is very close to 10.250 inches). You can find a reasonable fit based on DIN/ISO 286

Steel-to-Steel Fastening with total thickness greater than 1/2"

If you could pre-punch / pre-drill one of the sheets and then use a self-drilling screw you could get a #5 drill point to work.

Shelf Support Steel Angle Fastened to Cold Form Exterior Stud for Brick Veneer

What trade is installing the angle? Vertical uphill weld of 5/16" (or whatever thickness) angle to 16 ga seems chancy, especially if there is limited access. Bolting with field drilled holes seems pretty simple. If this was some mechanical gizmo I would lean that way.

seasonal above ground water line for farm use

after searching on "bladder tank" and seeing what I refer to as a "pressure tank" I get a better concept. When I saw bladder tank I though it meant a bladder storage tank...

seasonal above ground water line for farm use

A diagram would be helpful, but the cows may not be good at sketching. Why wouldn't you fill the small tank with a line tapped into the main tank and controlled with a float valve?

    Unistrut in Torsion

You might be able to cobble something together using Telestrut, which is a closed section and would be torsionally rigid. https://unistrutohio.com/products/p9000-1-5-8-x-1-5-8-telestrut-tubing

Fixed Speed Positive Displacement Blowers Running Speed

I have never heard of this term - would appreciate some discussion.

    Welding Heat

My thoughts on this, which I have pondered before but not executed - CTE of concrete and steel are very similar, so plate expansion vs concrete expansion should match at an interface if the plate stays reasonably cool. Method to get some general idea of how hot the plate would get based on...

Shaft Failure in Translation Gear Reducer of Bucket Wheel – Need Help Identifying Cause

It may be a matter of semantics, but I think the wheel shaft may likely be from a bucket wheel stacker/reclaimer, which runs on rails along a fixed path.

Shaft Failure in Translation Gear Reducer of Bucket Wheel – Need Help Identifying Cause

uniformly dividing a 400 ton load over 16 wheels seems optimistic. a misaligned wheel may be taking a lot more of the load. please provide bearing locations and wheel load location on the shaft shown above and several sketches of the equipment.

Hole size for PVC fire gear dryer

You might consider approaching you nearest engineering school and discussing this with a mechanical engineering professor. It might make a good project that the students could solve and apply some engineering theory to. How did you decide on the blower size? It seems like you should start at...

    Belts, rollers, rods and frame

If you can describe it with words and not give away the secrets, you could come up with a sketch of your written image - maybe you'll even answer your own question.

Techniques to enforce nearly uniform flow velocity in a rectangular duct

Post a sketch of your arrangement, please, to assure that you are describing to others what you see yourself. Identify and quantify flows, duct size, tray size, tray spacing, etc.

Shaft can't fit in the hole.

What were the actual sizes of received parts? H7/h6 could have been a size-on-size fit, which I would not expect to go. If the saddle was machined after the 10mm hole was bored, there may have been some residual stresses relieved and the hole went out of round - what material was used? Are you...

    Clearance Recommendation

My thought process on how to approach this would be to decide on pin diameter, considering, among other things pressure and velocity of pin surface on bearing material. The attached information from Bunting Bearing may be of use. A different approach would be to calculate contact stresses.

    gear pin mechanism

Nexen also has a variation on this. I think that it could be possible to engineer the components, but not sure why. If you are going to produce these and compete in the market, you would already have this knowledge, and the time involved to engineer for a single usage doesn't seem justified...
